Nelson Engineering has changed its name to Nelson Baker Biotech, reflecting the company’s position as an innovative engineering, procurement and construction firm in the industrial biotech industry.
Over the past few years the company has expanded into additional industrial biotech applications, including biomass processing, biochemicals and biogas, with the new name better reflecting this expertise.
For more than a decade, Nelson Baker has worked with partners to design and build state of the art biofuels project, leveraging its employees’ experience into new industries and projects.
The company’s ownership, culture and values remain unchanged through the rebrand.
“While we will continue to serve the biofuels industry, our team has developed expertise in other industries as well,” said Tiffany Trottman, business development manager. “As a full turnkey engineering, procurement and construction firm, we concentrate on projects from beginning to end, not just the engineering. We decided a company name that reflects this expertise was best.”
Nelson Baker has also unveiled a new logo, which represents the ‘innovation, creative engineering, and construction services needed to take a project from concept to completion’, according to the company.
“Nelson Baker Biotech is a leading engineering and construction firm in the industrial biotechnology sector,” added CEO Jerry Baker. “Aligning our name with our capabilities better communicates the services we provide. It’s been energising to see how the team’s skillsets and expertise have evolved over time, and now we have a name that better suits our company mission.”
