Enerkem set to populate biofuels facility

Canada-based waste to biofuels company Enerkem is hiring new employees as construction on its new plant gathers pace.

The facility, situated in Edmonton, Alberta, is among the first small-scale advanced biofuels plants being built in North America. It will utilise the City of Edmonton’s landfill-based waste to create renewable fuels and other chemicals.

‘Construction of our new plant is well underway. Major pieces of industrial equipment have already been installed, and we are now hiring the future employees of our subsidiary in Edmonton,’ says president Vincent Chornet.

Through its subsidiary Enerkem Alberta Biofuels, the company is looking for managers, engineers, technicians, administrative personnel and operators who will then receive guidance and technical training at Enerkem’s demonstration facility in Quebec.
