US ethanol producing company Ace Ethanol has completed the purchase of a dormant ethanol plant in Wisconsin.

Sugar analysis system developer Carbo Analytics (CA) has received one of 79 available grants from the US Department of Energy which will go towards the development of a biofuels sugar analysis system.

Alaska Airlines is to buy biojet fuel for its aircraft from Hawai'i BioEnergy, a consortium of three of Hawaii's largest landowners and three venture capital firms, after the two companies signed an agreement.
