Record Numbers Register for the StocExpo 2014 Conference

A record-breaking over 190 delegates have registered for the StocExpo 2014 conference. Those heading to the event, which takes place from 18 to 20 March 2014 at Ahoy, Rotterdam, include major decision makers from Shell, BP, Vopak, Stolthaven, Vesta Terminals, Saudi Aramco as well as the Federation of European Tank Storage Associations.

Attendees registered for the three day conference will enjoy a speaker line-up of 25 world-class experts, and content spanning everything from emerging transport fuels to finance and from shale to cyber security.

Dr Frits Eulderink, Executive Board Member & Chief Operating Officer of Royal Vopak, will help delegates understand supply and demand imbalances before exploring the emergence of LNG as a transport fuel and providing an update on Thames Oilport storage conversion.

Delegates looking for opportunities for finance and growth will have the expertise and experience of Eduard Ruijs, Director of First Reserve, to draw on. In his wide-ranging session he will examine how to make a terminal attractive to investors.

Sinclair Koelemij, Process IT Security Professional at Honeywell, is a cyber security expert. He says: "Defense for critical infrastructure needs to be more protected than it was 10 years ago...I have seen companies that are really protected, but they are rare."

At the conference he will discuss what needs to be done in order to make an organisation's employees aware and what methods can be put in place to combat this ever present threat

Running alongside the conference is the StocExpo exhibition featuring over 190 leading exhibitors, spanning the supply spectrum, many of whom are using the show to launch new technologies. For instance Action-Sealite is launching its 3" Polypropylene Dry-Mate coupling which reduces risk of exposure, with a wider range of chemical resistance. Protego is introducing two new products. The Protego EB is an endurance burning proof flame arrester and The Emergency Pressure Relief Valve Protego ER-V-LP, is a new valve pallet technology. StocExpo will also be the show debut for TTK's Hydrocarbon Sense Cables, an embedded microchip in each FG-OD cable means these cables can be used for multiple leak detection and localisation thanks to independent digital addressing.
