PowerHouse Energy Group moves forward with waste-to-hydrogen system design

London-based clean energy company PowerHouse Energy Group announced that it had completed early design work on its UK-based 25 tonne-per-day synthetic gas (syngas) plant, according to news channel ProActive Investors.

The pre-front-end engineering and design, or pre-FEED, stage validated the company's technology and its ability to deliver commercial quantities of high-grade syngas use as a fuel.

The company said it will now move into FEED, which will finalise selection of vendors for provision of various components.

The company uses a technology called ‘Distributed Modular Gasification’ (DMG). Its G3-UHt system transforms waste into fuel. The syngas the technology produces can be turned into 99.99% clean hydrogen, which can then be used as a road fuel or to power energy facilities.

Speaking to DirectorsTalk, CEO Keith Allaun said: “The door to the hydrogen economy will soon be opening.”
