The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has unveiled a global Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Registry, which is managed independently by the newly established Civil Aviation Decarbonisation Organisation (CADO).
This initiative aims to connect airlines, fuel producers, and corporate clients, ensuring transparent tracking of SAF transactions and preventing double counting of environmental benefits.
With over 30 organisations, including major airlines and aerospace manufacturers, already participating, this registry represents a significant step towards a more sustainable aviation industry.
Provisional data released by the Department for Transport (#DfT) showed that verified renewable fuels supplied to the UK reached 2.4 billion #litres in the first 10 months of 2025.
