Avfuel supports EBACE SAF needs

Avfuel Corporation took on the SAF needs of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), fixed base operators (FBOs) and flight departments ahead of the 2023 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE).
Avfuel collaborated with three of the industry’s major aircraft original equipment manufacturers—Dassault Falcon Jet, Embraer and Textron—to provide their flight departments with Neste MY Sustainable Aviation FuelTM in North America prior to their trans-Atlantic trip to Geneva.
The SAF deliveries spanned from Wichita, Kansas, (KICT) in mid-America, down to Little Rock, Arkansas, (KLIT) and Melbourne, Florida, (KMLB) at its most southeasterly point.
With an average blend ratio of 30% SAF to petroleum-based jet fuel, the EBACE-designated fuel deliveries (four truckloads in total) provide a 76 metric ton reduction in carbon emissions over the fuel’s lifecycle. This is the equivalent of the amount of carbon emissions created by consuming 176 barrels of oil.
In addition to providing the physical SAF molecules to OEMs, Avfuel also collaborated with Atlantic Aviation in White Plains, New York, (KHPN) to offer flight operators headed to EBACE the benefits of SAF through a book and claim arrangement.
While Avfuel leads SAF availability in North America, it’s working with its production partner, Neste, on European availability.
“I’m proud of the work in sustainability we’ve accomplished, both in terms of the sustainable programs we offer our customers and in the efforts we make as a company to reduce our footprint,” said Marci Ammerman, Avfuel’s vice-president of marketing. “Sustainability is now at the core of our operations—it’s not just another selling point or a mere ideal. We are profoundly committed to bettering the health of our world by identifying and adopting green alternatives.”
