Network before Bioenergy International Asia expo & conference in November

Delegates registering for the upcoming Bioenergy International Asia expo & conference can start networking straight away! Using pre-event software delegates can set-up meetings and contact other visitors, delegates, speakers and exhibitors, maximising networking opportunities at this event.

The two day event, being held on 10-11th November in Kuala Lumpur, organised by market leading publication Biofuels International magazine, is now in its second year and is supported by the Malaysian Biodiesel association.

Biofuel production in southeast Asia has a huge potential but has dropped this year.

As well as Malaysia and Indonesia being the two largest palm oil-producing countries, the conditions are also suitable for other feedstocks such as jatropha and biomass. But despite this Asia’s biodiesel manufacturers are finding profits elusive in a market characterised by poor demand, rapidly rising feedstocks and reduced trading routes to the US.

Supplies of biodiesel appear to have outstripped demand in many countries and many of the new plants that have come online and now lying idling or not operating at full capacity.

Total biodiesel mandates in Asia would amount to 1.7 million tonnes but due to poor implementation in Malaysia, as well as Indonesia, mandates are achieving only 500,000 tonnes – less than 10% of biodiesel capacity in Asia.

This conference will bring together producers, regulators from Asia and Europe, traders, technology providers, sustainability experts and oil majors to discuss how to turn the market around

The focus of this year’s event is improving profitability for Asian producers so conference topics will cover how to stay viable in the current market climate, how to secure finance and investment for retrofits or expansions, managing price risk exposure and how to produce fuels which can be exported to Europe and elsewhere.

The event will also look in detail at current market conditions, capacities, challenges and future forecasts for Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines and across Asia.

As an added bonus this event will be co-hosted with Tank Storage Asia expo & conference – www.tanktorageevents.com/tsasia providing delegates, visitors and exhibitors even more reason to get involved.

The conference delegate fee is only RM2,900 or RM 1,500 for one day. There is also a 10% discount for the second delegate from the same company registered and 25% for each subsequent registration

Since the market is still growing with many fledgling companies there is a 50% discount for certified Biofuels, biomass and biopower producers
