Biofuels Partners (BFP) has signed a collaboration agreement with Jianglan Bio‑Energy to expand international cooperation across used cooking oil (UCO), hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
The partnership is built on shared priorities of transparent sourcing, verified sustainability and dependable commercial relationships.
Jianglan Bio‑Energy brings extensive experience in UCO collection and an integrated industrial model covering feedstock sourcing, pretreatment and renewable fuel production. Its current development includes a UCO pretreatment facility with an annual capacity of 300,000 tonnes, alongside a new 300,000‑tonne‑per‑year HVO‑SAF plant equipped with European Desmet pretreatment technology and Topsoe HydroFlex® processing.
Under the agreement, both companies will explore cooperation across the renewable fuels value chain, including UCO supply, HVO‑SAF offtake and wider commercial partnerships. BFP will contribute expertise in feedstock sourcing, strategic advisory, sustainability certification and market development.
The company emphasises that credible cooperation must be grounded in documented feedstock origin, rigorous chain‑of‑custody controls and independently verified sustainability credentials – principles that will guide all joint activities.
The partnership was reinforced during the Global SAF Market & Sustainability Certification Summit in Zhoushan, China, where BFP met Jianglan’s leadership and visited the company’s new HVO‑SAF facility.
China’s ongoing development of a domestic sustainability and traceability framework for renewable fuels – covering feedstock collection through to fuel production and use – highlights the growing importance of accountability across the sector.
As global demand for renewable fuels accelerates, BFP and Jianglan underline that long‑term partnerships depend on transparency, verifiable sustainability and trust.
BFP extends its thanks to Cassie Su, Li Xi, Bryan Zhou and the wider Jianglan team for their hospitality and constructive discussions.
