A $62 million (€49.2 million) development is the latest effort by the US government to invest in biofuels.

A request has been made by the Philippines Coconut Authority (PCA) to the National Biofuels Board (NBB) to increase the current 2% blend of coco biodiesel before the end of the year.
The proposal wants the blend to be increased to 5% and would mean an additional 21,000 metric tons of coconut oil would be needed to meet the requirement.

A crash in Dayton, Ohio left ethanol leaking out of a tanker truck at around 2.25pm.
The fuel left inside the overturned tanker was accessed later that evening by fire fighters and transferred to an empty tanker truck.
