A new recovery boiler installed at the Iggesund Paperboard mill in Sweden means the facility can now be energy self-sufficient.

Biotechnology company Dyadic has concluded its DISCO bioethanol project in cooperation with SEKAB E-Technology.

An agreement has been signed between India-based seaweed-to-biofuel company Sea6 Energy and biotechnology researchers Novozymes.

Spain-based renewable energy and engineering company Abengoa is set to temporarily idle an ethanol plant in the US.

A fin whale that passed away on a beach in Suffolk, UK could be used to create biofuel according to the local district council.
The whale, which weighed around eight tonnes and was 10 metres long, is believed to have washed up onto the beach on 30 September.

Thailand-based oil refiner Bangchak Petroleum’s president Anusorn Sangnimnuan says it is set to invest heavily into two biodiesel projects.
