US-based Kinder Morgan Energy Partners has announced the beginning of commercial transportation of blended 2% biodiesel (B2) through its 115 mile Oregon Pipeline which runs from Portland to Eugene.
A test of moving B2 through the pipeline was successfully completed. The pipeline will help diesel fuel suppliers through Oregon meet the states mandate on biodiesel.

In the US BioJet has agreed to sell 4 million barrels of aviation biojet fuel to Las Vegas oil and fuel broker E85.
The contract is likely to go into effect in 2011, once jet biofuel is projected to be approved for use by the end of 2010. The fuel standard is being developed by ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials.

The US Department of Energy has awarded Arizona Public Service (APS) a $7.5 million (€5 million) investment in algae-derived biofuels.
