Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has signed a preliminary deal to supply the China Aircraft Leasing Company with 100 fuel-efficient planes.
In a contract worth around €8.1 billion, Airbus will provide the Chinese leasing company with 74 A320neos (new engine option), 16 A320ceos (current engine option) and 10 A321ceos.

A demonstration-scale plant that will convert marine microalgae into green crude has opened in Whyalla, South Australia.

State-owned company Alcoholes de Uruguay (Alur) has launched a pilot project to recycle used cooking oil (UCO) and convert it into biodiesel.
