Renewable Energy Group celebrates initial public offering

The US's largest advanced biofuel company, Renewable Energy Group, announced in their initial public offering on January 18, 2012. The Iowa-based company then celebrated its offering at the NASDAQ, New York, in a closing bell ceremony which recognized shareholders, the board of directors, employees and client service providers.

'The biodiesel we produce is an important alternative as crude oil prices remain high and our nation works to meet energy security and cleaner air goals with lower carbon fuels,' says Renewable Energy Group President & CEO, Daniel J. Oh.

During 2011, Renewable Energy Group sold approximately 150 million gallons of biodiesel, with total revenues of $824.0 million. The company operates a network of six biodiesel plants.
