Radius expands HVO offering in the UK

Radius, owner and operator of the UK Fuels network, has expanded its Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) offering to give customers access to the sustainable fuel at more sites.
Radius’s UK Fuels network is already one of the largest in the UK with over 3,700 fuel stations. With 45 of those sites now offering HVO, it is the largest HVO fuel card network in the UK.
Paving the way for greater HVO adoption, Radius is supporting customers on their journey to decarbonise supply chains by making low carbon fuels readily available on the UK Fuels network with their existing fuel cards.
HVO is a sustainable alternative to diesel that is derived from vegetable cooking oils. By only using waste products, not virgin crops, it is a highly sustainable fuel source that can help businesses reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%.
Radius customers can easily swap between diesel and HVO in their pre-existing fleets, so there is no need to invest in brand new vehicles. Using HVO can also help improve the engine lifespan of their business vehicles.
Jonathan Haseler, chief revenue officer at Radius, commented: “This is only the start of what we’re predicting to be continued strong growth at Radius in offering our customers a choice of fuelling options.
“With the largest network of sites where customers can access HVO and more locations in the pipeline, we’re set to meet the growing demand for more sustainable options to diesel.
“By enabling a more sustainable future for customers whilst keeping them on the move as they make the transition, we hope to make a real difference to businesses who want to hit sustainability targets without big upfront costs.”
Fleet managers can also easily monitor both diesel and HVO transactions made with Radius fuel cards through the Radius Velocity portal.
Headquartered in Crewe, Radius offers technology-led solutions to businesses in 19 countries across five continents.
