POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels have announced the planned construction of a commercial scale cellulosic ethanol plant. The Iowa facility named 'Project Liberty' will use corn as feedstock and is set to open in 2013.
POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels was formed in January after POET and Royal DSM entered into a joint-venture agreement, each holding a 50% share of the project.
The facility is expected to consume around 770 dry tons of feedstock per day.
The American Coalition for Ethanol (@ACEethanol) said it was disappointed a #bipartisan provision ensuring market access for #E15 on a year-round basis was ultimately excluded from year-end legislation adopted by #Congress.
