Organic Drive reaches full capacity in Stourport

Organic Drive, a UK-based biodiesel producer, has opened its first biodiesel plant in Stourport, England, with plans to supply its product to major oil companies such as BP and Shell.

The new 4,500sq ft production facility is now operating at full capacity, producing 100 tonnes a week of biodiesel from used cooking oil.

The company believes it can produce the biofuel cheaper than its competitors due to a new process that allows it to significantly reduce yield losses.

With the plant now operating at 100%, the company is planning an expansion project and is currently working to obtain funding from Wyre Forest District Council to help finance this.

Organic Drive predicts it will hit £2 million (€2.3 million) in sales in year one.
