Company kick-starts second Chinese facility
Construction on American Jianye Greentech Holdings’ second biofuels plant in China is underway.
The facility, located at the Xiangzhou Shilong Industry Zone, in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China, will produce approximately 50,000 tonnes of biodiesel, 50,000 tonnes of civil use clean fuel, and 100,000 tonnes of ethanol fuel with a maximum annual operating capacity of 200,000 tonnes when fully operational in 2011.
American Jianye Greentech will invest $21 million (€17.2 million) during the next 12 months to build this facility. Initial production is expected to begin in late August, when a fuelling station also opens for locally operated commercial vehicles.
