Biofuels International Asia expo & conference now part of Singapore International Energy week

The upcoming Biofuels International expo & conference, being held in Singapore on 19-20th November is now in association with Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), a platform for international and regional policy makers, industry players, and academics to discuss pertinent energy issues and strategies affecting the world today.

SIEW is co-hosted by Energy Market Authority, a statutory board of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Energy Studies Institute (ESI), an independent research body established within the National University of Singapore.

Singapore is committed to growing its clean energy industry so that by 2015, it contributes SGD 1.7 billion to the country’s Gross Domestic Product and 7,000 jobs. By then, the energy sector will add SGD34 billion of value to the economy and employ 15,000 people.
