Neste and PetroCard launch expanded HVO distribution network in the US Pacific Northwest
The companies confirmed the opening of additional renewable diesel fuelling sites in Washington and Oregon, aimed at supporting operators seeking immediate emissions reductions without modifying existing diesel engines.
The expansion follows rising demand from logistics, construction and municipal fleet operators looking to decarbonise operations ahead of tightening state‑level clean‑fuel standards. Neste’s MY Renewable Diesel, supplied through PetroCard’s network, is produced from waste and residue feedstocks and can reduce greenhouse‑gas emissions by up to 75% over its lifecycle compared with fossil diesel, depending on feedstock and supply chain.
The companies emphasise that the broadened network will improve fuel availability, reduce delivery distances and strengthen supply resilience. PetroCard noted that customer uptake has accelerated sharply over the past year, driven by corporate sustainability commitments and regulatory incentives. Neste added that the partnership forms part of its wider strategy to scale renewable‑fuel distribution infrastructure across North America.
The announcement underscores the growing role of HVO as a near‑term decarbonisation tool for hard‑to‑electrify sectors, complementing longer‑term electrification and hydrogen pathways.
