Cielo purchases site for renewable fuel facility

Cielo Waste Solutions plans to build a new renewable fuel facility in Canada.
The site near Edmonton, Alberta, will be used for Cielo’s proposed 100% waste to high grade renewable fuel.
The company has revealed it has secured $10 million (€6.6 million) in loans to purchase the site.
This marks the beginning of Cielo’s expansion plans, which is ahead of its previous schedule.
Don Allan, president and CEO of Cielo, said: “We are truly happy to announce that we are commencing with a 100% owned Cielo facility ahead of schedule.
“The site is located close to major diesel refineries and feedstock supply.
“Purchasing the land now provides Cielo with the opportunity to begin engineering and permitting at the same time the same work that is being done with Cielo’s partners in Dunmore, Alberta.”
The plant will initially be engineered to produce about 33 million litres of high grade renewable diesel annually.
The land is large enough for further expansion.
