Argentina ups biodiesel export tax to 15%
Reuters is reporting that the Argentinian government is to raise biodiesel export tax from 8% to 15%. The measure takes effect from July 1.
In April this year, The US International Trade Commission published a ruling that found Argentinian and Indonesian biodiesel was being sold at an unfairly low price, a practice known as ‘dumping’. According to the wire service, imported biodiesel from the pair are subject to anti-dumping duties of 60.44-276.65% in the US.
