National flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia will use avtur, a type of aviation turbine fuel, with biofuel to help reduce its carbon emissions.

Indonesia Sekawan Intipratama, a company predominantly involved in the coal mining industry, plans to invest $239 million (€181 million) in an ethanol plant in East Kalimantan province in 2015.
