Skymetrix partners 123Carbon platform to provide end-to-end SAF management for airlines

This collaboration will connect Skymetrix’s digital fuel management platform to 123Carbon’s book-and-claim platform, enabling the full end-to-end management of SAF: from the producer to the sustainability report generated by the airline customers.
The joint solution enables airlines to receive high-integrity transparent Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs) or Proof of Sustainability Documents (PoS), which are available in the integrated 123Carbon registry when they are surrendered by suppliers.
The partnership allows Skymetrix customers to manage all physical fuel procurement, both SAF and regular kerosene, as well as allocating authorised and transparent EACs to customers that are looking to reduce their air transport-related scope 3 emissions. All of this is delivered via a customisable technology platform.
Michael Scheidler, CEO of Skymetrix, said: “We are excited by this new collaboration with 123Carbon, which automates SAF certificate management and integrates it directly into our fuel management platform. By doing so, we enable our airline customers to track, verify, and allocate environmental benefits more easily and with full transparency. This not only simplifies compliance and ESG reporting, it unlocks new commercial opportunities through book-and-claim mechanisms and builds trust across the aviation ecosystem.”
Jeroen van Heiningen, Founder and CEO, 123Carbon, commented: “This partnership represents a significant milestone in delivering transparent, data-driven SAF tracking and reporting. At 123Carbon, we are committed to supporting the market by building solutions that seamlessly integrate with established platforms like Skymetrix. This partnership gives airlines using Skymetrix access to both our advanced, independent SAF-registry and our customer-facing, customisable technology platform, which is centrally managed from the existing Skymetrix system with minimum impact to operations.”
Through this partnership, 123Carbon and Skymetrix aim to make SAF certification and allocation simpler, consistent, and more efficient by leveraging real operational data and ensuring transparency throughout the aviation supply chain.
