Repsol hits new milestone with renewable diesel

This advance reaffirms the company's commitment to renewable fuels and expands the range of technologies available for the mobility of its customers, thus meeting the objective set in the update of the 2024-2027 strategic plan.
With this achievement, Repsol is positioned as the most relevant network in Europe for 100% renewable fuels, reaching more than 210 million litres sold so far this year.
Currently, more than 40% of its network of filling stations offers renewable fuel, demonstrating that the decarbonization of transport using renewable liquid fuels is viable in combustion engines. These vehicles represent 97% of both the Spanish and European vehicle fleets and 87% of sales in Spain so far this year.
To achieve the climate objectives set by Spain and Europe, it is essential to recognise the contribution of 100% renewable fuels to the reduction of CO₂ emissions from the combustion engine.
Valero Marín, Repsol's Chief Customer Officer, said: "Reaching 1,500 stations that supply 100% renewable Nexa Diesel represents a key step forward in our strategy to decarbonise transport. This milestone reaffirms Repsol's commitment to reducing CO₂ emissions and expanding solutions for our customers' mobility. We will continue working to offer all the energy alternatives that best suit their needs, thus contributing to mobility aligned with the energy transition.”
