Pegasus Capital enter partnership with Pure Biofuels del Peru

Pure Biofuels del Peru management has entered into a partnership with US-based private equity fund manager Pegasus Capital Advisors to acquire the business.

Both companies combined to purchase the equity of Pure Biofuels in a move to provide growth capital for both terminal and operational expansion.

‘Pegasus' extensive expertise in biofuels make it an ideal partner and its financial support allows us to expand our terminal capacity, plus provides access to the working capital necessary to grow our presence throughout the region,’ says Pure Biofuels CEO Alberto Pinto.

Alongside the acquisition, Pure Biofuels also closed on the purchase of a new facility which allows an increased involvement in the sale of ultra-low sulphur diesel and biodiesel products throughout Peru.

‘We value this partnership to support the infrastructure needs within a fast-growing Peruvian economy and also to enable the supply of lower emission transportation fuels,’ says Alec Machiels, a partner at Pegasus.
