Panama to boost biodiesel production

In Central America the government of Panama is to invest $2 million (€1.4 million) on the construction of a biodiesel facility in what will hopefully encourage further biodiesel production in the region.

The 10,000 litre-a-day production plant will be built in the province of Colon with groundbreaking expected to commence at the beginning of next year.

The plant will manufacture the biofuel from palm oil and used cooking oil.
