Monarch signs five year deal with Pratt and Whitney
A five-year agreement has been agreed by Monarch Airlines to use a fuel-saving solution provided by Pratt and Whitney (P&W) moving forward.
P&W’s fuel conversion program EcoFlight Solutions will be used across its fleet of 32 aircraft in an aim to help Monarch further improve its environmental performance. The airline has been using P&W’s EcoPower wash system since 2011, a product that aims to reduce fuel burn and greenhouse gas emissions.
‘Monarch has been working successfully to improve our fuel efficiency over the past 15 years and our goal is to improve it by another 3 to 5% by the end of 2015,’ said Monarch MD Mick Adams. ‘We believe EcoFlight will help us achieve that goal.’
