Metro Terminals opens new facility
Metro Terminals held a ribbon cutting ceremony and tour on 14 September to celebrate the grand opening of its biodiesel/bioheat clean fuel distribution facility in Calverton, Long Island, New York.
The facility will make use of a newly funded rail spur extension, which will improve the way fuel is transported throughout New York. Approximately 2,500 trucks will be taken off the road and instead fuel will be moved in 100-car trains.
Gene Pullo and Paul Pullo from Metro Terminals were present at the ceremony, as well as officials, environmental advocates, and business and community leaders.
