Global Fuels biodiesel plant to be auctioned as owner retires
Maas Companies has announced the auction of Global Fuels’ $11 million (€9.67 million) biodiesel plant, located in southeastern Missouri, US.
The facility, which has a capacity of 5 million gallons of biodiesel per year, was built in 2007 with an initial capacity of 3.1 million gallons per year.
The capacity was increased after a technology upgrade in 2013, which also enabled feedstock processing with free fatty acid content up to 15%.
“This auction offers a great opportunity for a new owner in the renewable industry or a local buyer with a regional business interest,” said Tyler Maas, director of sales and marketing at Maas Companies. “The property has a 12,400 square foot production/warehouse/office building adaptable to many business uses. In addition, the location embraces the economic benefits of operating in a smaller community.”
The assets are to be sold via a sealed bid auction as the owner is retiring, with a deadline for offers set at 23 July 2019.
