EVG and Raptor sign $1.6m deal
Energy firm Eco Ventures Group's (EVG) biodiesel plant, planned for Groveland, Florida in the US, will be built by technology supplier Raptor Technology.
Raptor signed the deal, which is thought to be worth $1.6 million (€1.16 million), at the beginning of March 2011.
The new plant will produce 3.6 million gallons a year of biodiesel. Additionally, the facility will feature a crushing line and extraction process for seeds and other biofuel crops.
The plant will be equipped with Raptor's mid-sized production system that can handle a number of different feedstocks.
'Our contract with Eco Ventures Group is our third largest plant of 2011. This facility is important to Raptor because we will not only build the plant, but we will operate it for EVG in a profit sharing agreement,' says Tom Gleason, Raptor's president.
Raptor expects the plant to be operational by the middle of April 2011.
