Ed Miliband sets out net-zero vision at International Energy Week 2026

The event will take place from 10–12 February at the QEII Centre in London.
International Energy Week 2026 will convene senior leaders from across the global energy system, including policymakers, chief executives, academics and innovators, to examine how energy security, economic growth and net-zero ambitions can be delivered in an increasingly complex and uncertain global landscape.
The programme will focus on accelerating delivery, scaling clean technologies and mobilising investment to support a secure and sustainable energy transition.
Secretary of State Ed Miliband will be joined by a distinguished line-up of global energy leaders, including Wael Sawan, Chief Executive Officer of Shell; Catherine MacGregor, Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE; and Mohammed Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar.
Green technology pioneer Lei Zhang, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Envision, will also speak at the conference and will receive the Energy Institute’s 2026 President’s Award at the International Energy Week Awards Dinner, recognising his contribution to advancing net zero solutions worldwide.
Commenting, Gemma Regniez FRSA AMEI, Director of External Affairs at the Energy Institute, said: “International Energy Week 2026 brings together an exceptional group of leaders shaping the global response to climate change and energy security. Their collective insight and experience will help drive the practical action and collaboration needed to turn net zero ambition into reality.”
International Energy Week 2026 is expected to welcome thousands of delegates from across the world, reinforcing London’s role as a global centre for leadership on net zero and the energy transition.
