IPP to lead sale of Shell’s shelved SAF/renewable fuels project
The project, originally developed by Shell Nederland Raffinaderij, progressed through advanced engineering, procurement and construction, before Shell made a strategic decision not to proceed with project completion.
As a result, several installed and near-complete process units are now available for relocation and reuse in other industrial applications.
This offering comes at a time when refining, hydrogen, and renewable fuels projects are increasingly impacted by long engineering cycles and extended delivery timelines for critical equipment.
Ron Gale, president of International Process Plants, commented: “We are seeing a clear shift in how projects are being developed.
“Companies are looking for ways to reduce timelines and avoid long-lead constraints, particularly around hydrogen and renewable fuels.
“With nearly five decades of experience in industrial plant transactions and a global network of more than 160,000 industry relationships across the refining, petrochemical, chemical, fertilizer, and energy sectors, IPP is uniquely positioned to support the relocation and integration of large-scale process units into operating and developing industrial projects worldwide.
