Thousands of fish have been killed by 3,000 gallons of biodiesel that leaked into a river from a truck stop in Kentucky, US.

Synata Bio, a newly formed Illinois energy company, has won the auction to purchase Abengoa Bioenergy’s Kansas cellulosic ethanol plant for $48.5 million (€45.5m).

Biofuels producer Gevo announced that gasoline blended with its isobutanol and marketed for use in automobiles has begun to be sold in Texas, Houston, US.
