US to welcome increased Argentinean biodiesel volumes
It has been reported biodiesel entering the US from Argentina could double reach double the amount recorded a year ago.
Figures released by Bloomberg Businessweek state 450,000 tonnes of the renewable fuel will appear on the US market through December, way up from the 221,000 tonnes recorded in 2012.
Despite this news, Argentina’s annual export figure is expected to fall from 1.5 million tonnes to around 1.2 million.
This will be, in most part, because of Europe’s ‘anti-dumping ‘stance which has seen the export of Argentinean biodiesel subject to provisional duties while discussions take place over a long-term solution.
