US biodiesel producer increases feedstock inventory

Sequential Pacific Biodiesel (SPB), a commercial biodiesel producer in the US, has added two new suppliers of feedstock to its roster this autumn.

Woodland Park Zoo and Husky Stadium, home of the Washington Huskies, have become cooking oil recycling customers and both join a list of others which, last year alone, helped SPB recycle enough oil from Washington to offset more than 10 million pounds of carbon.

‘It would require the planting of 3,400 trees to have the same impact on carbon reduction,’ says Tyson Keever, GM at SPB. ‘Our growing customer base in Washington demonstrates the environmental commitment shown within the state.’

SPB has also been included in Washington’s annual ‘Green 50’ list for a second consecutive year, which honours those making environmental contributions in the state.
