Second biodiesel plant planned for Devanahalli
In India, Southern Biodiesel Technologies is to build a biodiesel plant in Devanahalli.
This plant comes hot on the heels of the state's first biodiesel production facility, which was put into operation on 20 February this year in Peenya Industrial Area.
The new plant will produce 50 tonnes a day of biodiesel. According to the company's director, Abhishek Mudram, the unit could be up and running in four months time and will reach half its capacity in around 6 weeks. However, the plant must be producing at 75% capacity before it comes online.
