RATCH to take 40% stake in Songkhla Biofuel

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding (RATCH) has announced it will take a 40% stake in Songkhla Biofuel. Precise Power Producer already holds a 40% shareholding in the company, and Assiddeek Savings Cooperative a 20% shareholding.

Songkhla Biofuel is to guarantee the supply of 300-370 tonnes of biomass residues per day to the Songkhla Biomass Power Station in the Chana district. This will then be used to fuel the 9.9MW station, and thus remove the risk of a fuel shortage according to Noppol Milinthanggoon, CEO of RATCH.

The project is valued around Bt600 million (€9.1 million).
