Petrixo selects UOP for $800 million aviation project

Petrixo Oil & Gas has chosen UOP's green fuels process technology to be implemented at a new refinery to be built in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.

The Renewable Jet Fuel process technology will be used to process approximately 500,000 tonnes per year of a variety of renewable feedstocks into renewable jet fuel and renewable diesel, otherwise known as Honeywell Green Jet FuelTM and Honeywell Green DieselTM.

Petrixo will invest $800 million (€587 million) to build the new refinery, which will be the first commercial-scale renewable jet fuel production facility outside of the US.
