North Sea Group plans largest ethanol plant in Asia
The Netherlands-based oil company North Sea Group is planning to construct the largest ethanol plant in Asia.
Located in the Philippines, the plant will have a capacity of 400 million litres of ethanol a year from a variety of feedstocks.
The plans have come about following the implementation of an E10 blending mandate, which requires oil companies to sell petrol with a 10% ethanol by February 2012, under the Energy Department.
