New agreement will aid biofuels growth in Aruba
Renewable energy company Methes Energies has announced its Canadian subsidiary has signed a purchase and cooperation agreement with Biofuel Aruba (BA).
BA will initially buy a biodiesel processor from Methies Energies Canada so, as the only biofuels producer in Aruba, it can expand its biodiesel production capacity before the end of 2013.
‘With two pilot projects soon to start with Arubus and the airport, we are looking forward to a greater demand for biodiesel,’ says BA president Gregory Fung-A-Fat. ‘Methes' technology is a great fit and will allow us to add more capacity as the demand increases even more here in Aruba and in the surrounding islands.’
