Mexican plant produces biodiesel
In the Mexican state of Morelos, the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) has installed a pilot plant for the production of biodiesel from jatropha.
The facility has been developed to produce 3,000 litres a month of biodiesel, according to project director Jorge Martinez Herrera.
The National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR) are backing the project.
