KL Energy expanding to Brazil
The second generation cellulosic ethanol pioneer KL Energy will spread its wings to Brazil after announcing an exclusive deal with add blue Ltda.
The move will see KL Energy and add blue optimizing KL Energy's proprietary cellulosic ethanol technology for the use of sugarcane bagasse and straw feedstock. They plan to build a cellulosic ethanol plant using KL's enzymatic process in Brazil, aiming to completely integrate a conventional mill with the plant by in 2010.
Brazil possesses the world’s second largest ethanol market.
