K Line conducts marine biofuel trial on Supramax bulker

Japan-based K Line has successfully trialled marine biofuel on a Supramax bulk carrier.
The company tested the marine biofuel delivered by GoodFuels on the bulker known as Albion Bay.
The vessel finished the loading operation of hot rolled steel coils at JFE Steel Corporation West Japan Works and began sailing to Pakistan’s discharging port.
GoodFuels delivered the marine biofuel to the vessel in Singapore on August 3. The vessel carried out the trial of the marine biofuel after leaving the city state.
The test was conducted using marine biofuel integrated with biodiesel and fossil fuel.
In addition to this trial, K Line is planning the same kind of trial on a cape size bulker for raw materials.
