First UK firm earns RSB sustainability certification

Ennovor Group, a European biodiesel producer, has earned the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) sustainability certification for its biodiesel produced from used cooking oil methyl ester (UCOME).

The company uses an online 'digital chain of custody' record for every consignment of biofuel it trades. It focuses on converting natural and recovered oil and fats, such as used cooking oil (UCO) recovered through its global supply chain, into UCOME biodiesel.

As Ennovor CEO David Frohnsdorff explains: 'The RSB certification will enable us to demonstrate strict compliance with EU and international sustainability standards. RSB is appropriate for any feedstock in any country thus works very well along the entire supply chain.'
