First EPA-approved QAP provider for US renewable fuel imports announced
US-based Genscape, the first approved Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) QAP provider, is now obtained further EPA approval for biofuels produced at foreign facilities and imported into the country.
This means foreign biofuel producers can now obtain Genscape-certified QAP RINs to improve marketability and hopefully increase buyer confidence.
‘We know our certification programme increases marketability and pricing power for domestic producers,’ says Genscpae MD Robert Barton. ‘Now foreign producers can enjoy the same advantages.’
For both A-RIN and B-RIN producers, this programme incorporates a suite of compliance-based services including annual attestation, direct advice on RFS2 registration and compliance issues, RFS2 engineering review by a licensed engineer, full ASTM 6751 panel test and RFS2 quarterly report filing.
