EOP stops biodiesel
Operations at Germany-based biofuel manufacturer EOP Biodiesel’s production facility have ceased.
According to EOP Biodiesel a gear unit at its oil mill has been damaged. It is this oil mill which produces rapeseed oil prior to the biodiesel being made.
Although a new gear has been ordered, the company is unsure when it will be delivered to the site in Pritzwalk, Germany.
Before the plant temporarily halted production it manufactured 132,000 tonnes of biodiesel a year.
