Enerkem teams up with 3 Chinese companies
Enerkem has made three separate announcements relating to development plans in China.
Firstly the waste-to-biofuels and chemicals producer announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Shanghai Environmental Group, a municipal solid waste (MSW) company and subsidiary of Shanghai Chengtou Holding, to develop a project partnership to build a municipal solid waste-to-biofuels and chemicals facility in China.
Enerkem has also signed an agreement with Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute to develop a partnership to jointly build a waste-to-biofuels facility in China.
On the following day, Enerkem has also signed an agreement with Qingdao City Construction Investment Group to develop a project partnership to jointly build a municipal solid waste-to-biofuels facility in Qingdao.
In each partnership, Enerkem will license its exclusive technology to convert local urban waste from China into biofuels and biochemicals.
