Encore Energy Systems signs MOU with Hardin Fuels
Mississippi-based Encore Energy Systems and Texas Hardin Fuels have confirmed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) calling for joint business development and to assist Hardin Fuels with securing funding for future expansion.
The MOU highlights Encore Energy Systems’ continuing business development and growth strategy in the alternative energy marketplace.
The company aims to ‘aggressively acquire biodiesel production assets’ and believes the consolidation of underutilised and distressed biodiesel assets will position it as a premier global producer and distributor of biodiesel, the goal of its 2009 acquisition and growth plan.
Hardin Fuels currently operates a 2 MMgy multi-feedstock biodiesel plant in Kountze, Texas. The company aims ‘to help make our country fuel self sufficient through use of unused farm lands as well as recycled vegetable oil…to build a very profitable environment of partnerships in many industries using all by-products effectively with little or no waste.’
