ED & F Man and BioMCN sign supply agreement

Commodities company ED & F Man has signed an agreement with BioMCN to source, risk manage and deliver crude glycerine from Argentina.

BioMCN, the second biggest second generation biofuels producer in the world, produces and sells biomethanol from sustainable renewable resources including glycerine. Argentina is quickly becoming the world’s largest producer of biodiesel and its residue crude glycerine, which is why BioMCN has decided to tap into this market.

Biomethanol can either be blended directly with petrol or used as a feedstock to produce fuels such as bioMTBE, biodiesel and bioDME.
